I haven't gotten the chance to try Luigi, just the base Mario, but he's a great option to have. And the best part is that if you don't like those changes, you can choose the original sprites and still get the colorized experience. They both better resemble the official art and help the new Mario sprite feel more cohesive with the experience. What I also didn't realize was that Version 2 does a much more extensive job to re-draw the game's objects and enemies. I didn't notice it when the hack came out (even though the description mentions it, oops), but the Mario sprites were redrawn to make them more proportionate with the classic style sprite, and it looks much nicer than in Version 1. and despite what I thought I would do, I actually played on the new graphics mode, not the old graphics mode. Bumping this thread to say that, after over a month, I finally got to play the new version of Land DX.
